The campfire site next to the hut is for the renter's use. The closest campfire site open for everyone is the Isokankaanjärvi lean-to shelter about 400 meters from the rental hut.

Facilities
Heating and lighting
The hut has a stove and firewood for heating. Please use firewood sparingly. Please note that it takes some time before the hut is properly warm.
The hut has no electricity. We recommend using a headlamp, which leaves your hands free to do chores around the hut. For safety reasons, candles must be burned on a non-combustible surface and constantly monitored.
Cooking
A gas stove, a stove with oven and basic crockery for 4 persons.
Drinking water
There is no running water in the hut.
You must bring your own drinking water, use the water from the lake only for bathing and washing the dishes. It is recommended to boil water from natural sources before consumption. Water quality is not tested. Drink water taken directly from nature at your own risk.
See tips on how to obtain safe drinking water on a hike (Nationalparks.fi).
Staying overnight
Mattresses, pillows and blankets for 4 people. One bed is a bunk bed.
Please bring your own linen or a sleeping bag.
Sauna
The wood heated sauna is accessed from the hut. To prevent moisture and heat entering the hut, ventilate the sauna by opening the sauna window after use.
There is an ice saw in the hut which can be used to break the lake's ice layer in winter to get washing water. Make the opening slightly away from the dock. In this way, the structures remain intact.
Toilet
There is a dry toilet near the hut. Please bring your own toilet paper.
Waste disposal
There are no waste containers by the cabin. Visitors are advised to take their accumulated waste with them.
Metsähallitus follows the principles of litter-free hiking. Visitors are adviced to bring their own waste out of the area. Read more about hiking without littering (nationalparks.fi).
Other things to keep in mind
Pets are allowed but do not let the pets sleep in the beds.
Please clean the hut before you leave.
Safety
Although Finland has a broad network for mobile phones, there are some areas in the park without signal. If this happens try to climb to a higher place or go into an open area. Check the mobile network coverage with your mobile phone operator before your trip.
There is a fire extinguisher, a fireblanket, and a smoke alarm in the hut, but we recommend to bring a 9 V battery and/or your own travel fire alarm with you.
