Metsähallitus will start serving its customers online and by telephone in Ivalo

Tue Oct 01 16:01:00 2024

In the future, Metsähallitus will serve its customers in Ivalo by telephone and digital service channels. The Ivalo office’s customer service point will be open for the last time on Friday 18 October.

“Of course, this is a pity for many customers. Matters can usually be handled electronically or by telephone from home, which can make transactions easy. Generally, the matters concern fishing or off-road traffic permits and hut reservations,” says Outi Huhtala, Senior Specialist at Metsähallitus.

In the future, fishing and hunting customers will be served via the Eräluvat service number +358 20 69 2424, available on weekdays from 9 am to 3 pm. The service number allows customers to ask for free fishing permits for residents, resident’s paid angling permits for rivers or fishing permits on Skolt land, for example.

Customers will also be served via several digital services. Most fishing and hunting permits are available online at Eräluvat.fi. Off-road traffic permits and information on off-road traffic on state-owned land can also be found in the Eräluvat.fi service.

Further information about destinations and the related services is available in the Nationalparks.fi service.

You can find further information on other permits and consents on state-owned land at www.metsa.fi/en/lands-and-waters/permits.
