Hunting permits for winter 2025 go on sale on 16 December
Hunting male black grouse or male capercaillies in January is permitted on 36 sites, and willow grouse may be hunted on all sites in Northern Lapland in January–March. On a few sites, only male capercaillies may be hunted in January.
See this table (PDF, 108 kB, in Finnish) for areas for which you can obtain grouse permits for the period of 10 to 31 January 2025. Also remember to check if the permit concerns male capercaillies only, or both them and male black grouse.
The permits go on sale at 9:00 a.m. on Monday 16 December and can be purchased online and by telephone at +358 20 69 2424. The service line is open on weekdays from 9:00 am to 15:00 (call price EUR 0.00 + local network charge/mobile charge), and the Eräluvat.fi online shop is open 24/7.
Have you already registered with the new Eräluvat.fi service?
Metsähallitus published the new Eräluvat.fi service in November 2024. All old customer accounts and their permit history have been deactivated. This is why you need to re-register as a customer. To do so, click on the person icon at the top of the page.
Registration is mandatory if, for example, you want to reserve permits and pay for them later. If you pay for your permit immediately, no login is needed in the online shop. However, this means that the permits you purchased are not displayed in the online shop's customer account.
Registering (creating IDs) is worth your while as you will be able to see all the permits you have reserved and paid for in your customer account later.
