Natural products

In addition to fishing, hunting, and off-road traffic permits, you can obtain a permit for collecting various natural products from state-owned lands. Carefully review the different permits and where natural products can be collected.

Christmas tree from multiple-use forests

With a Christmas tree permit, you can get a tree from multiple-use forests located in Lapland, Northern Ostrobothnia, and Kainuu.

Natural products permit

With this permit, you can collect chaga mushrooms, spruce shoots, resin, and other natural products from multiple-use forests.

Subsistence region permit

This permit allows for the collection of various types of trees and stones in specifically designated natural economy areas. The permit is intended especially for the residents of Enontekiö, Inari, and Utsjoki, as well as for those who own cottages in the area.
