  • The permit is personal.
  • The track permit grants its holder the right to drive a snowmobile or other type of motorised vehicle with skids or runners, whose unladen weight does not exceed 800 kg, on snowmobile tracks maintained, marked and officially opened by Metsähallitus in all parts of Finland during the snow-covered period. You can check the status of snowmobile tracks here.

  • Driving in areas allowed by this permit is done at the driver’s own risk.
  • This permit may be immediately revoked if its holder violates any of the permit conditions given or fails to comply with the rules and regulations currently in force for off-road traffic.
  • According to section 22 of the Act on Metsähallitus (234/2016), any person who is dissatisfied with a decision may seek rectification from Metsähallitus within 30 days of being informed of the decision.
