Isoniemi rental cabin is located on the west bank of the Pärjänjoki River. The log cabin was built from the sauna of a logging camp that used to be on the site in 2003. The cabin is situated on a riverbank.
The rental cabin is an accommodation that is rented out entirely for private use.
Creating a user account is worthwhile. As a logged-in customer, you do not need to pay for your reservation immediately. You can also cancel unpaid reservations yourself. Create a user account.
Tip: If you reserve huts for multiple trips, make separate orders for each trip. This way, you can choose to pay for each trip's reservation only 14 days before the start of the reservation. Changes won't be made to reservations made from May 5, 2025.
The reservation day for shared rental huts, rental huts and other rental structures begins at 2 pm and ends at 12 noon.

Every fishing and hunting area and hut has a page with a map window that shows the location of the destination. In case of permit areas, you can see the borders of the area. Did you know that you can choose what and how information is displayed on the map?
Drive along Karsikkoperäntie towards the Ukonvaara parking area and Rytivaara forest cottage for about 10 km. After crossing the Pärjänjoki bridge, turn right onto Pyytölammintie after 1 km and drive approximately 2 km. On the right side, there is a parking area from which a 300-meter path leads to the cabin.
In winter, you can drive up to 1.5 km from the cabin. The plowing situation may vary, and not all roads are necessarily plowed immediately after snowfall. Park your car in a way that it does not block the roads.
In the yard of the Isoniemi rental cabin, there is an outdoor fireplace, a firewood shelter and a dry toilet.
The key is in a key code box on the hut wall. The box is protected with a code. Instructions and the code are sent to you by e-mail after the payment.
Take lock de-icer with you just in case the box's lid is stuck due to frost. Metsähallitus does not have maintenance on site.
The hut has no electricity. We recommend using a headlamp, which leaves your hands free to do chores around the hut. For safety reasons, candles must be burned on a non-combustible surface and constantly monitored.
Gas stove, pots, and frying pan. No other tableware.
There is no running water in the hut. It is recommended to boil water from natural sources before consumption. Water quality is not tested. Drink water taken directly from nature at your own risk.
Bunk beds, matresses and pillows.
Please bring your own sleeping bag
There is a dry toilet near the hut. Please bring your own toilet paper.
There are no waste containers by the cabin. Visitors are advised to take their accumulated waste with them.
Metsähallitus follows the principles of litter-free hiking. Visitors are adviced to bring their own waste out of the area. Read more about hiking without littering (nationalparks.fi).
There are no accessible services in the hut.
Please clean the hut before you leave.
Although Finland has a broad network for mobile phones, there are some areas in the park without signal. If this happens try to climb to a higher place or go into an open area. Check the mobile network coverage with your mobile phone operator before your trip.
There are fire alarms at wilderness huts, but we recommend to bring a 9 V battery and/or your own travel fire alarm with you.
