We are still translating the content. We will publish this page as soon as possible.

The permit area of Nuorgam is in the central part of the municipality of Utsjoki, in the Kaldoaivi Wilderness Area. The area has treeless highlands and lush birch groves along the rivers. The area is large, and the road network is limited. Please pay attention to private lands if you are moving in the direction of Lake Pulmankijärvi and near the village of Nuorgam.

This permit area is located in a special reindeer husbandry area, where the status of reindeer husbandry as a business is particularly significant. Reindeer husbandry practiced in the area should be taken into account, especially when hunting with a dog. Before you hunt, familiarise yourself with the practical guidelines and contact the local reindeer herding cooperative. Practical instructions can be found on this page under Reindeer husbandry and on the page Hunting in Northern Finland.
