Angling permit area

6502 Niemisjärvet, Evo

Niemisjärvi Lakes permit area includes the Lakes Ylinen Niemisjärvi, Alinen Niemisjärvi, Vähä-Koukkujärvi and Kalliojärvi. The permit area is located in Evo Hiking Area within a short distance from the biggest cities of Southern Finland. Total surface area of Niemisjärvi Lakes is approximately 30 hectares. The lakes are regularly stocked with rainbow trout.

This fishing and hiking destination is especially suitable for the whole family. Niemisjärvi Lakes offer something for both experienced fishers and beginners. You can catch fish from both the shore or from a boat. There is also an accessible fishing dock for disabled fishers.

Lake Vähä-Koukkujärvi is reserved for fishers aged under 15. Here you can learn how to fish with the assistance of your parents or other people with fishing experience. If an adult belonging to the same group has purchased an angling permit for the Niemisjärvi permit area, a person aged under 15 can share the catch quota of the adult in question and does not need a separate angling permit. Young persons fishing alone can purchase an angling permit at half price.

Permits needed for fishing

In this permit area, you will need an angling permit for all fishing – including hook and line fishing and ice fishing.

You will also be required to pay the fisheries management fee, unless you are under 18 years of age, over 70 years of age, or are 65 years of age or older as of 31 December 2023. However, the fisheries management fee is not required if you are hook and line fishing or ice fishing with only one rod. If you are hook and line fishing or ice fishing with multiple rods, you are required to purchase an angling permit and pay the fisheries management fee.

Services in the area

Evo Hiking area has plenty of outdoor structures such as campfire sites, lean-to shelters and marked hiking trails to serve anglers and hikers. There are also rental cabins and reservable lean-to shelters. Read more from Luontoon.fi.

Accessibility

There are two accessible docks in 6502 Niemisjärvi, Evo angling permit area. Crushed rock ramps leading to the shore that are suitable for fishing can be found along the trail close to the lean-to shelter on Ylinen Niemisjärvi lake and in the south-east corner of Ylinen Niemisjärvi.

There are seven accessible fishing piers with 85 centimetre high handrails on Lake Vähä-Koukkujärvi.

Fisheries Management

Catch-sized rainbow trout is stocked into the waters every 3-4 weeks between May and September. During the winter season plantings are conducted once or twice.
